Job Descriptions for Business Development Manager
- Prospect for new clients; create and send targeted email campaigns and/or messages via social media platforms to a large number of prospects
- Pursue and qualify for inbound/outbound opportunities. Book meetings with prospects and take an active role in advancing the sales process.
- Close complex sales cycles in a competitive market through consultative sales approach while negotiating business terms when necessary
- Effectively develop and maintain a robust B2B sales pipeline to meet projected revenue goals
- Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets including new client meetings, agreements signed, and new business gained
- Aid in the development of a new department, contribute insights and actively communicate successes, and potential roadblocks and challenges.
- Oversee the business development operations and account handoffs, ensuring the highest levels of customer service and professionalism
- Work with stakeholders to understand project resources, capabilities, and bandwidth and translate those services for potential clients and business partners
